Background:
Established in 1964 to provide a secondary school with a disctinctive Christian ethos. 'Each school day begins with an act of worship and once a month there is a special school Eucharist'. The school lies between the ancient village of Penkhull and a Hartshill community dominated by the North Stafforshire Royal Infirmary and the City General Hospital. Major refursbishment and development of the school took place in 1994. Sports fields are a little distance from the school, but transport is provided.The school is over-subscribed. 'Over the years, the academic, sporting and cultural achievements have placed it amongst the most succesful in the area'.
