Background:
SS Peter and Paul Catholic Primary School were built in 1974 to serve the northern half of the parish of Holy Cross in the city of Lichfield and stands in ample yet secure grounds. The parent teachers and friends association is very strong and active, providing support in the classroom including helping pupils with their reading. Children are encouraged to become aware of their responsibilities to the wider community through charity fundraising. Their efforts have recently been centred on Cafod, a local children hospice called Acorns and other charities in the area. Extra-curricular activities take place after-school and during lunch break and include football, netball, cricket, athletics, rounders, cross-country, gymnastics, recorder, junior choir and chess. The school aims to provide and fosters a Catholic environment in which all children will grow in their faith and love for God.
